MD Paul becomes Board Director at WCNW Chamber

  Published: 2nd July 2019

We are very excited to announce that Zodeq’s Managing Director, Paul Cooney, has last week been made a Board Director of the West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce.

Paul joins representatives from fellow businesses and organisations across the local region, all of whom provide their expertise and support across a variety of business areas including accountancy, recruitment, travel, education, law and banking.

Announced during the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting, the event was presided over by incoming Chairman of the Chamber, Phill Jones of Insignia Resourcing, who welcomed Paul, alongside Sarah Bailey of NatWest and Becky Stark of Stark Export Focus, who have also joined the Board.

As a Director of the Board Paul will be involved in a number of factors, including supporting the Chamber in its 2021 Vision and the key pillars of that vision, which are:

  • Promoting international trade
  • Skills and young people via the Young Chamber programme
  • Being the voice of business
  • Infrastructure and creativity

Speaking of his new position, Paul has said: “I am honoured to have been asked to form part of this prestigious board of Directors. I think this will be a great step for the Zodeq business and our profile within Chester and its surrounding areas.”

We have had a strong and successful relationship with the Chamber of Commerce for a number of years, moving quickly to become Strategic Members and Sponsors of the Young Chamber. Last year we won the award for Start Up Business of the Year at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, and we will soon sponsor their Annual Garden Party at the Mercure Abbots Well Hotel in Christleton.

On behalf of the entire Zodeq team we would like to say a huge congratulations to Paul!
